Belts and Ranks

The concept of belt promotion is often perceived as a milestone that determines the practitioner's skill, and although it is still a merit, the belt is a visual expression of the goal reached by each student and its achievement does not determine extraordinary abilities, but rather extraordinary improvements. .

BELTS

Lao Long dao has 7 belt ranks, each distinguished by a color and a meaning:

 

 

Rigid White Belt: Aspirant Lao Long dao practitioner; you start moving your first steps in Kung Fu.

 

 

White Belt: Lao Long dao practitioner; you open the door to new challenges.

 

 

Yellow Belt: The search for your own martial path, yellow is the light to illuminate the way to take.

 

Green Belt: The first contacts with yourself, realizing your own abilities, taking contact with the external nature.

Brown Belt: Brown is the color of the earth "the origins where the roots sink". Balance in body and mind, having the awareness of following the tradition. Reaching one of the goals, without forgetting where you started..

 

Blue Belt: Blue is the color of the sky, the moment of serenity, calmness, slow breathing and emotional security. Listening to the spirit, seeking inner perfection, perfect movements within us, "freedom, will, energy".

 

 

Red Belt: The color red is fire. The energy transforms movement making it explosive. The courage to  be always the first accepting challenges and never give up. Strength expressed with the philosophy of Kung Fu. Being resolute even in difficult times and always think positive.

Purple Belt:  It is the belt that is given to those who are not 18 yet and it is equivalent to the black belt.

Black Belt: The warrior who goes towards the light. The pride of the goal achieved. The humility of remembering the origins and the awareness of a new beginning (now you practice Kung Fu). Being masters of oneselves (controlling our fears).

DANG (REPRESENT THE ENDLESS PATH TO PURITY)

From the Black Belt follows the Dang from 1st TRUNG CAP to 10th TRUNG CAP and are represent

  • From 1st TRUNG CAP to 3rd TRUNG CAP with a RED stripe for each Dang sewn on the Belt.
  • From 4th TRUNG CAP to 10th TRUNG CAP with a BLUE stripe for each Dang sewn on the Belt.

JACKETS

  • From  NHAP MON (Rigid White Belt) to TRUNG CAP (Black Belt) the jacket is Black
  • From 1st  TRUNG CAP to 4th TRUNG CAP The jacket is RED with BLACK and RED belt (Master qualification).
  • From 4th TRUNG CAP to 10th TRUNG CAP the jacket is BLUE with BLACK and BLUE belt (Expert Master qualification

 

For the acquisition of the blue jacket with black and blue belt and qualification of expert Master the athlete must complete the 4th Dang exam and be in possession of 6 horizontal or vertical specializations
